Wine: The Walmart list
2017 Cabernet Franc ($11). The best of the bunch is a juicy red from the south of France. It delivers warmth, “a little elegance,” and herbal aromas.
2014 Chianti Reserva ($16). The pricier of Walmart’s new Chiantis is worth paying $5 more for. It’s “dry and earthy,” with a sour-cherry heart.
2015 Sangiovese Sanguis Jovis ($11). No whites are yet available, so I’ll mention another fine Tuscan red. In fact, this one’s “richer and rounder” than the Chianti. ■
