It must be true…
I read it in the tabloids
An American tourist caused panic at an Austrian airport when she tried to carry an unexploded World War II artillery shell on to her flight home. The 24-year-old found the foot-long shell while hiking and cleaned it up because she didn’t want “to get her suitcase dirty,” authorities said. At the airport, she asked a customs officer if she could take the “souvenir” on the plane. A bomb disposal squad rushed to the scene and shut the arrivals hall and luggage hall for 15 minutes.
A tiny Chihuahua from Florida has been named the world’s Most Cloned Dog by Guinness World Records, after South Korean scientists made 49 genetically identical copies of her. Miracle Milly, who stands only 3.8 inches tall and weighs about a pound, had already entered the record books in 2013, when Guinness titled her the Smallest Living Dog. She was cloned last year by researchers in South Korea who wanted to know more about why Milly is so teeny. Twelve of the 49 copies now live with Milly and her owner, Vanesa Semler. The clones “are sweet and loving, but Milly is unique,” said Semler. “You could never reproduce her.”
Police in eastern England got a surprise when they pulled over a dilapidated car and discovered that it didn’t have a steering wheel or any front seats. The driver was sitting on an upturned metal bucket and steering with a pair of pliers clamped to the steering column. The battered hatchback was also missing a bumper, front fender, and headlights—and had a flat tire. The local police department said that the car was the “most unroadworthy” it had ever seen and that the motorist had been “reported for too many offenses to mention.” ■
