The ever-increasing wave of book banning campaigns shows no signs of stopping or slowing down, with the number of bans surging to the highest levels ever recorded by the American Library Association. Last year, 4,240 individual titles were targeted for removal from public and school libraries, jumping up from 2,571 in 2022, according to the association's latest report.
